And anybody else reading I’m sorry for the mess, perhaps somebody might want to edit for me but this is going to be a bit of a ramble. I have brain processing issues but I just felt like there was information in here that if you can sift through the dirt I do think you might find some gold. Happy Hunting!
Is Our God Powerless and Broke?
I can totally understand how people would look at the world and think that. And it’s really difficult from our perspective and to understand.
If God is love why does he permit all the suffering? If he is all powerful, what isn’t he just make everybody do what they’re supposed to do? And that’s a pretty big difference between witchcraft and the Living God. See God’s love by his definition as he defines it, love doesn’t demand its own way. So if you can force somebody to marry you at gunpoint, but you can never Force somebody to love you. And so God gives individuals a certain amount of free will to choose to believe in him or not to choose to receive him or not and to love him or not. At the same time the word of God says he has given all men over to sin that he might have mercy on them all.
I have had a number of friends in Satanism for example, and Satanism is focused on power and rule. It’s heartbreaking because the spirits of Darkness are spirits. They do not have bodies and so the only Force they can do and use for the most part is lies to get humans to use their power to do what they want them to do. But a day is coming when their rule on Earth will be ended forever and each spirit will be sent to the place that it is assigned.
Jesus Christ is Lord.
And there are different belief systems and huge amounts of threads that play in so many different areas.
You have your way of thinking and your belief system based on many different things. I would guess probably some of your beliefs are based on your experiences? Let me know if that resounds with you or not?
And then I would assume that you base your beliefs on what you think not what somebody else thinks? So if you come to a conclusion about life you will probably tend to think your conclusion is right and somebody else’s conclusion is wrong? Do you think this is correct? And I’m happy to hear otherwise if you don’t think that’s accurate.
And I find that’s one of the most amazing things about humanity is humans tend to do that, certainly in my Christian circles as well as those with my friends in various circles because growing up in New York City my belief system was in the minority most of my life.
I’ve had friends in every walk imaginable universalism Hebrew again satanism, atheists agnostics Muslims Hindu and it’s amazing because everybody looks at the world through our own eyeglasses through our own experiences and thought patterns usually for the most part.
So if you are willing to admit and accept history, the written bible has been around for a long time, the Old Testament for thousands of years and the New Testament for over 2,000 years now roughly or around 2,000 years.
And it’s pretty reliable document but that’s really difficult in this generation that has had so many lies thrown at it and I agree when you look at this world it seems that the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob is powerless.
But I would challenge you to answer this one question, why do people still worship Him?
Why and how is it that the Jewish people and the God of the Jewish people is still worshiped, at a greatly increased rate since Christianity took root 2,000 years ago?
Because of Christianity many people including many Jews believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, but the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob is known by billions of people all over the world throughout the course of the past 2,000 years and the weird crazy thing is — people still worship Him.
And it’s increasing exponentially and it has and sometimes there’s declines and sometimes there’s Rises but just think for a moment
— do you know the names of the gods of the Babylonian Empire? Can you tell me their names? do millions of people and billions of people worship them today? Why not?
Tell me, do you know the names of all of the Egyptian gods from 5,000 years ago; ( without using Google or AI🙃) do you worship them?
There was many hundreds of years of the worship of those gods, so why do we not worship them today? Yes, I know that each of these types of gods I know there’s been things on the internet and things rise up and people try to get one thing or another but that’s a very small following, not a huge following like Christianity, so you’ve got a wonder, why?
What about the gods of the Greeks and the Romans, do you worship them? Do you know their names?
So when you look at the story from a Christian perspective the story is that there is one evil demonic Force which we call the devil that was the original head praise and worship leader in heaven, but he got prideful and decided that he wanted the glory for himself instead of worshiping God.
And when you look at scripture the Bible teaches that God is love so what you consider a lack of power is actually the patience of God as difficult it as it is for us to understand when we see the suffering of this world around us, but it does make logical sense if there is an eternal separation from God that we call hell, that God is patient not wanting anybody to perish, so for the season that seemed so very long to us of thousands of years, but very small in light of Eternity, God is allowing the dross to be removed from Humanity, even as you melt gold to refine it and you skim off the impurities and then you melt it again and you skim off the impurities.
Hell is a burning fire that is never quenched. Eventually hell will be thrown into the Lake of Fire, but these are things that I don’t understand. What I do understand is God is love and he desires every human to be in his safe place. Everything that is good comes from God and here in the shadowlands light and darkness coexist. For the only place to light and darkness can coexist is in the shadows.
And let me make it perfectly clear that there are lies within the Christian church at times and within Christianity and so in the Bible that accurately portrays the horribleness in the fallenness of humanity separated from God, yet you see God’s patience and love. Because love will never force you to love. God does not force mankind to be good. He gives us the choice. But the reality is with the Fallen nature we are not capable of being good. Sometimes we can make good choices, but if we Define love from God’s perspective love is not self-seeking so the minute moment we choose to do good works so that we can exalt ourselves or even so that we can please God and earn our way into heaven dinner motive for our charity is self-centered and it is not love . It is only when we know that there is nothing we need to do that everything is provided for that we can give freely . The faith of a little boy who gave his lunch of two fish and a few loaves of bread to Jesus knowing that Jesus would take care of his lunch . He was able to give freely to Jesus because he had faith that he was loved.
God will not force us to love him; That would be slavery, so what you perceive is a lack of power on God’s part is his patience because he’s not willing that any should perish eternally and because the stakes are that high.
So he sent his own son to die on the cross for your sins and for mine. The Bible is an amazing book I don’t know if you’ve had opportunity to read it but I would challenge you maybe start with the Book of John and then the Book of Genesis and there’s a lot of lies out there which is also perfectly logical.
Because 1 + 1 = 2, but how many lies to that truth are there? Infinite.
You can say one plus one equals three or a thousand and one, there are so many lies and so ultimately when we seek God the Bible says Those Who come to God must believe he exists and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.
The reason Jesus ordained 12 Apostles, 12 disciples was to share that love and his truth about his death for us and his resurrection from the dead and to teach people to obey all of his commands into the baptized. Because that is salvation. Being baptized and hearing the word of God and doing it. Having the faith that works by love. Then when we cross through the veil we will received with open arms into heaven.

But I really thank you for taking the time to comment that meant a lot to me and I just pray for you that you might come to know that the love of God is the greatest power in the universe.
It’s the kind of love that when everybody hated him and despised him and blasphemed him and mocked him and killed him, three days later he rose from the dead and he still loves you and he still loves me.
See you can’t stop that kind of love but for this time and season in this world for this season the Bible teaches that the Earth he has given to the children of men so the suffering and the wickedness and the horrible things that you see are because it is still under your Authority and my authority and the authority of every human on this planet that is of sound mind and has health.
Every day you and I have a choice whether to be kind and loving, to forgive somebody when they’ve hurt us, to love or to hate. And those choices that we make because God has given the authority in this world for a season to mankind, unfortunately because we don’t believe God and we do not love God, and please know Christians are not free from this either, the difference between Christians and non-christians very simply is they believe in Christ and his salvation, and hopefully a mature Christian who has grown up in Christ will be kind and loving, seek Justice and Truth and mercy, but sometimes you have immature Christians and an apple seed does not look anything like an apple tree and it is not have good fruit just yet, other times you have Christians who have chosen to not mature and not grow up and just as everybody else will face God when they die we too will face God when we die and we will give an accounting along with everybody else for how we have lived down here and so I always ask for God the Father to have mercy on the readers that we not wait to start the conversation with him after death because it is here and the now that he desires to give us the grace and the seed of eternal life and the Forgiveness that we will need to live forever with him.
Regarding persecution, you are correct; there are many lies out there. I’ve watched it here in America.
So for example there is a spirit a demonic spirit that twists things to its own advantage so that somebody wants everything their own way, and so for example you have an individual that maybe they need attention maybe they’re not mentally healthy and in their right mind but, they have claimed that they have been raped and it’s a damnable lie, and now somebody is being falsely accused and these lies and false accusations most certainly do happen, but that doesn’t mean that rape is not real.
So you are correct sometimes there are situations where people are just twisting things and it’s not true persecution.
The groups that we follow have team members on the ground and they meet with people and they see things. And it’s very difficult if we have been raised in an environment of Lies to be able to discern and see the truth so my heart prayer for you today is to know that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and he loves you so very much. And that one day because God is a just judge, when we die we will give an account for every wrong we have done according to HIS law, not what we think the law should be.
So most of us would agree that murder needs to be judged, but God’s laws are perfect and we all fall short of them, for example the Bible says that Pride – thinking that we are better than other people or that we can look down on other people or that we don’t need God, all of that is pride – and the Bible says that pride is an Abomination to God, however I can promise you I don’t know that I’ve ever met a Christian or a non-Christian, who has not had Pride some extent at least I know the person in the mirror is guilty of it plenty of times and I’m constantly having to repent of that and greed and self-centeredness and other sins.
Anyway I wish I was better at being concise so forgive me I have brain processing issues I don’t mean for the words to be so many, but I wish you the very best and I thank you for taking the time to write.

And as to the power of God, please know there will be a day where everybody will understand and everybody will see his power. I’ve witnessed it more times than I can count, thousands of times in my life. I’ve witnessed it in thousands of answered prayers. But God is loving and kind and he does not take Christians and give them a perfect life because number one, we would become completely ridiculously arrogant and it would be horrible, worse than it is now, but also because he loves people; he doesn’t want his children to be so separate from the suffering of the world, that we can’t enter into it and love people where we are all at because that’s what he did for us, he entered into our suffering.
Jesus Christ God’s son was born in a barn and raised in a ghetto. He was spit upon, tortured beaten, hated by people, his disciples abandoned him and ultimately his father turned his back on him because he took the sins of the entire world and a holy God cannot look on that sin.
God is not going to change for us; we have to receive the change he freely offers us through the blood of Jesus Christ, and much like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly it is not a sudden transition as we Christians are well proof of, but little by little we grow into the grace and the love and the knowledge of Jesus Christ and then you seek crazy things and here is the power that you seek, things like Corie ten Boone who forgave the Nazi soldier that mistreated and killed her sister. If you go to the site that I shared you will see the power of God, and the love of God.
And I don’t know if I have a way to communicate this, but do you understand God is love?
So the people that do evil and rape and murder, those people that we would just throw away and say well send them to hell! God’s love for human kind is beyond our comprehension, because he will punish every sin be assured and every wickedness will be accounted for including our selfishness and greed and pride, lies cowardice, and the result of every sin is separation from God. Because it would be like for example if we were made of straw and that’s our sinful nature and God is the sun how close could we get to God before we burned up?
God isn’t going to stop being good or holy because we are wicked.
And so because he’s so longed for us to have an eternal life with goodness and beauty, he’s making all things new there will be a New Jerusalem coming down from heaven that will be amazing and there’s no harm on all of God’s Holy Hill.
And here that is what he wants you to join him with and so, for example some of the people that are in Satanism have sacrificed humans, certainly many religions including the Roman religion and the Babylonian religion, many religions sacrificed humans, and the suffering and the fear and the torment, there will be a day for all who have accepted Jesus, where it will be gone forever. And God is so kind and merciful that all who call in the name of the Lord will be saved. That includes rapists and murderers. Don’t get me wrong, God hates, abhors that stuff. He also hates pride and lies. He hates that the suffering is going on and he hates the sin of our greed that holds money back from the poor all over the world while we drink our Starbucks.
But his love poured out his anger at sin on his own son so that we would just receive his love.
The Bible teaches God is a Good Shepherd that cares for the Sheep, he is a father to the fatherless and husband to the Widow.
And again I’m sorry too many words that’s a broken brain but I pray for your deliverance and healing and peace as I pray for myself for deliverance healing and peace you might know Jesus here before you cross through the Veil.
There’s nothing more wonderful nothing more beautiful than knowing Christ.
One last scripture quote it it says that the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s Wisdom. And the weakness of God is stronger than men’s strength.
God has brought me back to life more times than I can count, not in the physical sense but sometimes yes. I have had both demons and humans try to kill me. And I can affirm that there is no problem with the power of God. I have seen myself and my wickedness and sin Through The Eyes of a holy God knowing that I deserve nothing but death and yet his love every moment has given me forgiveness when I do wicked things, he loves me and his power is so great that he even removes my guilt because he wants me to walk in joy and love and freedom and he sent his son to be tortured and killed on the cross, because he is just, so that all I have to do is walk with Jesus and the obedient to his commands and the areas where I so quickly fall in he forgives.
I wish I could explain it better there is no more amazing powerful life than walking with Christ Jesus in the Living God, but to everything there is a time in a season and love does not force its way on people. God will not force anybody to believe in him or to love him so when we pass through the Veil if we don’t want anything to do with him, he will honor that choice even though he does not want us to be separated from him.
He wants to be our protector and keep us from the damnation we deserve. I pray that you will remember that Jesus loves you and that Jesus died for the sins of the world. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world but rather than through him, we might have life. You are much treasured and loved of God. God’s peace.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. It really means a lot.
There are times and Seasons when what you said is exactly correct 100%. Sometimes people think they are being persecuted when nothing could be farther from the truth. I have two adult children and one teenager, and I am grateful for our family, but sometimes especially with high creative high right brained individuals, and I know I myself am guilty of what you have said, in our Western world, we feel that the world should revolve around us and so when everybody doesn’t give us what we want we feel like we’re being persecuted. Add in female hormones, and you can have blow ups over the stupidest things!
But this persecution in Nigeria and other countries is a different story. One of my daughters friends is a Rwandan Survivor. I was raised internationally, we have dealings and friends from around the world, and most of my life my Christian faith was in the minority. My father had dealings at the United Nations.
God just wants you to know that you are a treasure. He loves you so much. He sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross for your sins and for the sins of the world. The Bible says for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Love is patient. Love is kind. It doesn’t Envy. It does not boast. It is not proud and it is not rude or self-seeking. Love does not Delight in evil but it rejoices in the truth. It seems like at times that God is powerless when we see the wickedness in this world and even the hurt and the suffering in our own lives. 0
Sometimes the emptiness, the lack of community, the loneliness, and it’s difficult for us to understand or comprehend God’s ways at times.
But you do not build a castle unless there is a prince and a princess or a king and a queen. You do not build a nursery and then suddenly say hey I’ve got this great idea maybe we should have a baby! We do not look at a house and say wow those stones are so amazing how they put themselves on one another and I just love how the drywall got itself in place in such a great way!
No the nursery was made because the greatest treasure was coming into being and the parents were lovingly providing for the baby that was to be born.
So this Earth is not our mother. It is our home created by our loving Heavenly Father. There are many lies; you are correct in part of the under tones of what you were saying. You are saying that all of the people throughout Humanity that have believed in Jesus Christ and God are wrong. Billions of people have believed a lie. He doesn’t have power. Why doesn’t he just fix it? If he’s really God? And that’s interesting because in the story in the Bible of the temptation of Jesus Christ in the wilderness the devil asked him the same thing. If you are really the son of God why don’t you just prove yourself? Throw yourself down from the temple because the Bible says that God will send his angels and you won’t be harmed. But Jesus caught that lie and that deception and that temptation and he said to the devil it is also written do not tempt the Lord your God and do not put him to the test. See the Bible is actually really pretty amazing in its logic if you get a chance to study it and to seek God. The Bible teaches that God gave the Earth to the Children of Men. So what you see in this world right now is the authority of humankind in place and the choices humans make after the fall.
God is Not powerless, but it looks like it to humans all too often but be at peace, there will be a day when the knowledge of the glory of God will cover the Earth as the waters cover the sea. I would urge you just whatever you can to seek him. I can testify to his power in my life but he doesn’t Force his power or his love on Humanity because that would not be love.
You see God is love. And you will be offered the Gospel of Jesus Christ in your life most likely quite a number of times before you pass through the Veil and yes there are so many hundreds of thousands of strands of thinking. So many lies. And certainly within the Christian church, we are living proof that God is merciful and kind and loving because we too fall short of the glory of God and we fall into lies. Often there are things that are called Christian that do not look like Jesus Christ. And I ask you forgiveness on behalf of any believer who has not resembled Christ to you in his truth and Grace. But he does speak the truth. The word of God is all true.
Every sunrise and every blade of grass, every sunset and every rainbow is the father and the Son and the Holy Spirit crying out to all of humanity I love you. And when that was not enough for us to believe he sent his son. Jesus was born in a stable. Raised in a ghetto. He was a working man a carpenter. He didn’t find the cure to cancer. He wasn’t one of the intelligencia of his time. He hung out with people that his culture told him he shouldn’t. In an error when men didn’t speak to women, in a time where Jews did not talk to Samaritans, he sat down at a well where one lone woman was coming to get a drink, a very unusual situation because the women usually would travel to the Well in that time period in groups for safety as well as Fellowship. But breaking every cultural barrier he spoke to that woman and asked her for a drink. And he asks you for a drink today as well.
If you’re not familiar with the Bible story you can read it in John chapter 4. And if you’re interested I have a journaling Bible that I really like where they just do individual books of the Bible and then you can like color in them or you can write notes inside of them. I don’t have a lot of money but let me know PM me if you’re interested your address and I can send you two or three of those books if you’re interested.
But he broke every rule of social law, while keeping every rule of God’s love flawlessly. Isaiah 53 says he was a Man of Sorrows acquainted with grief. People despised him rejected him, eventually tortured him and killed him. Why would we believe in this God?

God’s love gives people a choice to believe him or to love him and the reason he allows his own children to be persecuted and killed is because he wants those people that are killing them and persecuting them not to go to hell. See the whole thing is true and real.
I have had friends that were satanists, I’ve had friends in the Hebrew Wiccan, I’ve had friends that are agnostic and atheist, Muslim and Hindu, Baha’i, I can attest to the power and the truth in Jesus Christ and I know there are like you indicated, a lot of lies out there. One of the most amazing things to me about Humanity is how we always assume that we are the ones that are correct. But when you come to Christ and believe in the Bible you have to let that go. When I have something that I think and I read the Bible and see that I’m wrong I don’t listen to my thinking. I listen to what the word of God tells me. And I’m not perfect no Christian is and I sometimes think Christians are the biggest proof to the fact that God both exists and is the most loving. It’s just amazing how God puts up with us. But he is merciful and patient. An apple C does not look like an apple tree and it’s not bearing fruit but it will get there eventually. However sometimes you have wolves and sheeps clothing, things that are pretending to be Christian but very simply or not. So what’s really crazy is the answer is God. Jesus Christ born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate crucified died and was buried. Descended into hell. And on the third day he rose again according to the scriptures and descended into heaven and he sits at the right hand of God the father and he will most certainly come to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end.
You have in common with every Christian and with every non-Christian that we will die and then what? That is where the power of God and the goodness and mercy and kindness of God will shine. When you pass through the Veil all God has asked is for you to believe in his son and every one of your sins that you’ve ever committed will be forgiven. He just asks that you obey what you see in the scriptures and what Godly pastors teach. And it’s complicated it’s not easy but at the same time when our eyes are on Jesus, it’s like the difference walking into a Walmart and having to pick up every item before you decide what you’re going to buy, but when you have the word of God and your eyes are on Jesus and what he says in the Bible instead of listening to one plus one equals three one plus one equals a thousand one plus one and trying to figure it all out ourselves, we can read what he says. We can choose to believe it but be aware there’s a cost to accepting and believing in him. No monetary cost. Jesus Christ has paid through his suffering and blood for everything that we need. He is so loving, C. But those forces of Darkness that have been around deceiving people for millennium, they do not like letting their slaves go any more than drugs like letting the drug addict go. There is a suffering and a pain that comes in choosing Jesus Christ especially if you are a first generation Christian and it’s intense. It’s not always physical like our brothers and sisters are going through in Nigeria. Sometimes it’s emotional. It’s not easy to make a decision to do what God says in his word rather than what we think.
You will see he will be calling you. And you will see and hear but it’s not always as clear because we’re living in the shadowlands. Light and darkness only exist together where there are shadows.
When we pass through the veil the two will be completely separate and we will either have chosen to receive his gift of light and eternal life, or we will have chosen to refuse him and his love. And love will never force you into heaven. You have a choice.
I will always pray and have hope because I know nothing is impossible with God.
He’s raised me from the dead figuratively speaking more times than I can count.
I don’t know how anybody survives without Jesus. But actually I guess nobody does because every breath is given by the Living God to every person through his love whether they acknowledge Him or not. It doesn’t matter what they believe.
This world is so hard and painful at times. But just know he cares for you and he loves you and you are a treasure that he chose to die for.

And regarding his power. I don’t know any other power, I am not aware of any other god or goddess that was here in In the Flesh witnessed by thousands, with written documentation held together for centuries and millennium, that was rejected by people, crucified and then in the midst of the torture had the power to call out to the creator of the universe, father forgive them. Because they do not know what they’re doing. I do not know any God or goddess besides the living Jesus Christ with whom I’ve wrote then blessed to walk for 55 years who is resurrected from the dead. The life in Christ is not an easy one. There is suffering involved if we are serving him fully. Yes there is blessing. But because of God’s love he doesn’t just come down and wipe out all his enemies. Humanity would have died a long time ago. But it is the love of God that sustains us in the midst of all the insanity. If you look at the world around us and the many foolish decisions Humanity has made, what do we think sustains us? Ourselves? We did not give birth to ourselves. We did not create the universe. And the truth is that this world is absolutely terrifying if we are honest about it.
I do not know the names of the Babylonian Gods and most people don’t. They were worshiped for a long time. I do not know the names of the Egyptian gods, do you? (Without using Google or AI😊) I do not know the names of the Roman and the Greek gods. All of those gods have come and they have gone. But the god of Abraham Isaac and Jacob is worshiped today by billions of people. You’ve got to wonder why.
