Ramble…

TBV – there is most definitely a balance there. You do not want your children telling each other that you hate them. But if you withdraw from your neighbor because they’re less than perfect are you walking in the love of Jesus Christ that left Heaven to come down for people that were for example prideful, as Proverbs 6 teaches that pride and lies are an Abomination Before the Throne of God, he came down and died for greedy people, because from Genesis to Revelations greed is a sin equal and damnable to murder, just use the parable of the rich man and Lazarus as an example, you don’t want your children to say I hate you, but when we are not walking in Christ’s love, what are we doing?

I have regretted and I just yesterday apologize to my friend. I did that I kept my daughter away from her daughter because I was afraid of the influence, but I never had a peace about it and I asked God to forgive me. Her daughter’s gone through a lot. Both girls are grown now young adults. My daughter still has both her parents. This mom had to divorce her husband for some very legitimate reasons. And later we found out that he was not the great dad to the kids that she thought it was. Sometimes other families don’t have it as good as you do they’re not acting as well as you do maybe because they haven’t had all the love you have had. Or maybe you had a rough background too and you just handled it better, but hurt people hurt people. And love people loved people. So I don’t know how old your kids were, and there are times where I’ve pulled my daughter out of situations too. But Jesus tells us how we’re supposed to handle these situations. And I will tell you what I know because of illness I’ve had a lot of time to study scripture, but it is knowledge and I have yet a lot of growth to do in actually walking in this and walking in God’s love so I’m not talking to you I’m talking to us, Jesus said if somebody sins against you to go and confront them with the fault. That is his command to you. And if they repent then you’ve won over your brother. He has actually said how many times should I forgive asked I think it was Peter one of the disciples and Jesus said 70 times 7. So I don’t know how old your children were, definitely if they’re like three or four you really have to be strong in Jesus to be able to sit your kid down and say hey I want you to be able to hang out with those kids but we don’t talk like that here and then you have to determine whether they’re strong enough in their faith and in their Walk Of Love to be able to not pick up everything or if they do to be able to learn how to deal with the sin. We have friends that cuss all the time and of confronted it. They are godly people they came to Christ later in life and I can see I don’t want you talking or your children talking this way around my children and then I have to teach my children not to talk like that but right now two of my girls do cuss at times and some of them do things and I know that when they’re around their friends they act like the world does but I’m not worried about their walk in Jesus Christ. Because they’re not saved by how good they are, they’re saved because of how good he is. And the moment we forget that, we are speaking lies and holding back the love of God from a desperately needy generation. So I pray for wisdom for you and for me. I have two adult daughters now. The one is like me the oldest one is called away from the world like John the Baptist or the Levites of the Old Testament, But please understand that is not a call for every Christian. Yes we are in the world but not of the world, but people are saved through grace alone not by works so no one could boast and God in his Mercy leaves us around damnable pride and sins because ultimately he’s interested in the heart of people and saving them. Read John 3:16 and verse 17 emphasis for 17. So there’s a fine line. Can you imagine Naomi in Moab? They offered human sacrifices there to the Gods. Daniel in King Nebuchadnezzar’s Court? Also a pagan belief system that I’m pretty sure also had different kinds of orgies and stuff we would never want to be a part of. Daniel didn’t spend all of his time preaching to the people around him. He didn’t try to convert King Nebuchadnezzar that’s not in the Bible. He just walked in obedience to God and when the time of testing came he chose to follow God even if it meant death. The same is true for the apostles and The Disciples of the early Generations. If we pull our children out of the world and once again there is a balance I have pulled my child out of public school and now she’s back in again, so the spirit of God will lead you but we have to be careful to rightly divide the word of Truth. Because if we are arrogant and prideful and not loving to the neighbors because they’re using language that we don’t want our kids using, we might need to look in the mirror of the word of God just a little bit closer because if we’re using his law as a standard, we’re just as bad as they are. God tells us to seek Justice, love mercy and walk humbly before your God. A quick overview of the commands of God and we shouldn’t just be studying the Ten Commandments but we should be listening to the words of Jesus because it is written that Moses came to bring the law but Grace and Truth came from Jesus Christ and when he went to talk to the woman of the well yes he brought up her sin because it was keeping her from God, but he didn’t ask her to repent. He didn’t tell her to stop living in immorality. He didn’t go down to the town and make sure and scold them highly for not making better laws because it didn’t they know that for divorces was completely contrary to God’s way of doing things? She’s been married five times and she was living with a man who was not her husband. Is this the type of person you want your child hanging out with? he didn’t condemn her. He offered her himself, freely. He offered her the Water of Life because she was so so thirsty. So we have to be careful that we not raise up our children to be Pharisees and that we not be Pharisees ourselves. We are commanded to Love Like Jesus loves. Do we want our kids cussing or into witchcraft or into all of the sins that this generation has come up with? No but I promise you it is not what is outside the home or the church that will destroy our children. I am living proof of that. It is what is inside. And if what is inside is greed and lack of love and self-centeredness and cowardice and pride and a kind of spiritual adultery that clings to the comfort of the world and loving the world while claiming God is God, if we seek our own selves in the world and our own knowledge for our protection instead of trusting God who resurrects the Dead, then are we not as guilty as the drag queens? The Bible says that pride is an abomination. I have witnessed a strange spiritual malady as God has been dealing with me with my own wickedness and sin. I can speak to pastors and mature Christian laypeople in the conversation goes like this, Oh it’s so horrible I say all of the gender issues and abortion. And everybody hangs their heads and shakes their heads and says oh yes what is this world coming to! We need to pray for these poor souls and pray for this generation. And then I say well yes and you know I’ve really been realizing in God’s been showing me that pride in the Bible is an Abomination Before the Throne of God just as much as the act of homosexuality and greed is equally a damnable sin to murder. Okay this didn’t creep me out until about the 7th time I heard almost the exact same words, everybody looks and then suddenly shies away and says oh well you know, everybody sins…

You are a treasure for whom Jesus Christ died. There is nothing you can do to add to that. There is nothing you or your children can do to take away from that. And it doesn’t matter how dirty we get, because it doesn’t matter how dirty gold gets, at the end of the day it’s still cold. If we truly believe that we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus in spite of the fact that we don’t seem to be able to understand how to actually Implement Isaiah 58. We are the wealthiest generation probably in thousands of years and probably the biggest waste of time energy resources and money while fully knowing the world around us is starving. But if we have a god of comfort and ease, we have to be careful. It’s not what’s outside of the church or the home that will destroy our children’s lives. You can’t curse what God has blessed. It’s what’s inside, the decay the lack of love the choosing to not admit the guilt of the person in the mirror. The subtle twisting of the word of God to make us look better than others but didn’t that all die at the cross? Is not the cross the perfect equalizer. Now definitely we need to have wisdom and we need to seek God and ask God what is our children need? I don’t say that you made a wrong choice I just know in a similar circumstance 20 years ago I did. And I’m looking at a woman the same age as my daughter who is no longer a believer in Jesus Christ and the only hope that I have because I feel I am part of that because of my lack of love and lack of reaching out to her and allowing her to play with my daughter the only hope I have is in Christ and now I’m in the process of starting a prayer wall and her name is going on the wall and I’m asking for God to forgive my sin and to have mercy and rescue her. And I don’t know what to do about those things of the past, it’s a very easy thing for me to say that my sins are forgiven but if I have the love of God within my heart in any compassion whatsoever how could I not hurt for the suffering she’s going through it just may be might not have been so bad if I had been obedient to the Holy Spirit and let my daughter play with her even though she might have been a bad influence. Do I not trust God that much to keep my daughter safe? I don’t know these are my thoughts. God’s peace to you and I know the Lord is with you and I just pray that you continue to seek him and to be humble before him and to obey his command to love him with all your heart mind and strength and the love your neighbor as yourself. Blessings and God’s peace
