Not everybody has the same TEMR. (Time, Energy, Money, Resources)
Not everybody has the same priorities. Some people are successful in business and completely fail at Family Life. Some people are successes in both in their own eyes, but lack Compassion or understanding, forgetting that just because they pulled themselves up by their bootstraps doesn’t mean everybody has that ability. We love to play God, unfortunately. And unfortunately it doesn’t go too well. Sounds like you’re hitting burnout. One of the biggest dangers of success is assuming that if everybody else does exactly what you do, they will succeed. Life very simply isn’t like that.
I found that attitude especially for some reason with single mothers who achieved who had no compassion on single mothers who did not. I’m not quite sure why the lack of compassion other than maybe it’s because they didn’t receive it themselves and I’m sorry for that.
PM me. I’m working on a structure for Home Care Solutions. Basically realistically evaluating your strengths and weaknesses and if you have a family even if it’s just kids, working little by little to transition from where we are to where we want to be. Helping set priorities and sometimes the money is not the bottom line.
I spent 10 years of my life getting jobs and losing them. One time I was standing up talking to a boss and fell asleep while I was standing up talking to her. I would do great and then I would lose jobs. Almost every single boss assumed I was doing drugs in my twenties and I got fired almost every single time. I would do great and then all of a sudden I couldn’t figure out how to put a file in a file folder. I know what judgment looks like. I know what it’s like to ball your eyes out walking down the street from the 30th job that you’ve lost. The only woman who didn’t criticize or condemn me when she had to fire me was the lady I fell asleep standing up to talking too. She called me into her office, you know in all of those years nobody, and anybody wanting to give me a shout out now 35 years later feel free, not one person gave me credit for continuing to try instead of just going and being homeless. But anyway the lady that I fell asleep standing up talking to had compassion. She had to fire me but she was super sweet and kind and said I really wish I could help you, but I’ve got my own issues and I’m going through AA right now. Everybody. Literally everybody assumed I was doing drugs. That was 10 years from age 20 to 30. However because I’m a child of the Living God my heavenly father was always my safe place and I was never homeless and there was never a day I did not have a place safe to sleep and food to eat. Psalm 91 is not a cute song to me. It is my life. At age 30 I met and married my husband and he has been my caregiver and now my adult daughters as my condition deteriorates take care of me. I was 47 years of age, 47, when they finally diagnosed why. And technically there was about four things going on one of them actually got diagnosed by a gynecologist of all things that just stumbled on it at age 33 and that was a major trigger. That was one of about five separate health issues I had going on. And there’s a lot more knowledge about chemical insensitivities now than there was 30 years ago. But my body reacts to life. MSG shuts me down, yes just like as if I had just done a drug. Ramen soup knocks me out like I just down five shots. That was one issue. The second issue was diagnosed, I forget I think I was in my late 30s when they finally diagnosed and I’m sure I had it my entire adult life with sleep apnea at a very high degree. Basically I didn’t hit my rim probably the first 30 years of my life from age about 10:00 till I got diagnosed and got on a CPAP machine. But the biggest thing was age 47 they had diagnosed me with a very rare autoimmune syndrome called Toloso Hunt syndrome. I can’t tell you the number of times over the years I would take myself down to the ER and stay there for 12 to 24 hours is there running every test imaginable as my body is in so much pain constantly I’m screaming on the inside. You learn not to scream on the outside after a while. Put it in perspective labor of my three children is six on my Pain Scale and I did not think it was that bad. Easter Sunday 2016 I had an episode where all of a sudden I felt like I couldn’t eat. 2 weeks went by and I could not eat or sleep my head was on high wire and I thought it was going to die. And everybody all of those years would say well I have really good news there’s nothing wrong with you. Which from one perspective was good news. I was not dying from their point of view. No cancer no brain tumor and that is good news seriously. 20 years of that before they diagnosed what was actually going wrong. The nerves in my brain swell like when you get an autoimmune reaction and we don’t know what the trigger is. The way some people can die from peanuts? So I can just have months perfectly healthy and then all of a sudden have double vision my legs stop working and I fall down because something is triggering in the environment that I have no idea what it is. I’ve had Bell’s Palsy because of it which is facial paralysis. But all the people that are in charge of you at work can tell because you’re not doing your job and they will be so fast to tell you that you really are to get off your bottom. What’s wrong with you? Almost every single boss when they fired me looked at me with disdain because of my laziness and because they were quite sure I was doing something that I wasn’t supposed to.
There is a balance because if we are not working and loving like we should. In other words if we have everything together and we have all sorts of money and resources and time and energy in the world around us is starving, we shouldn’t be lazy. We should take care of those people around us and not just build ourselves up and up and up with more and more stuff we don’t need for life when the world around us is dying. But people will be quick to point figures at you my friend. And sometimes it’s real. Sometimes we do just need to get off of our butt, but in recent years I guess 10 or 15 years occasionally now we work with the homeless, and it’s really strange when people accuse them of not wanting to work, while we continue to strip meaningful work away from society since the age of manufacturing. We have completely wiped out of the past 150 years meaningful work for artists and Artisans and musicians. We’re just so happy about how we can download Spotify and get all our great sales at Walmart and we just can put a print on the wall for $15 and we have absolutely no thought let alone compassion for the fact that probably a quarter if not a third of the population that is right brained has had meaningful work stripped from them for what they were created to do but of course it’s all their fault that they’re homeless. Forgive me you can see this hits home with me. So anyway PM me and maybe I can help you walk through and figure out some practical Solutions. Working more isn’t always the solution. Sometimes it’s working less and working smarter. One piece of advice I would give you especially if you believe in Jesus but it not I would still give the same advice. Take one day off a week spend time worshiping God and thanking him for every good thing that you’ve got and take that day off a week just resting. Prepare food for yourself, prepare food for your kids even if it’s peanut butter and jelly and cereal. And enjoy life for one 24 hour period per week. Get a full night’s sleep to the best of your ability. Read a good book I personally would urge you to stay away from movies and anything electronic because they really do mess with people’s brains especially if you’re high creative. I was raised in a ghetto, but even in the ghetto you can see the stars and you can see occasionally a rainbow or sunrise or sunset, and you can see the most beautiful pieces of God’s creation which is people all around you. Take your last $10 cash and treat yourself. Take a day off where you just refuse to worry about what’s going to happen tomorrow even if it means the next day you’re looking at the homeless shelter. And just take a day to enjoy life. In my experience there is a creator Redeemer and restore, and yeah there’s a lot of evil stuff in this world people are not kind or compassionate and we also the person in the mirror can have all sorts of problems, but I’ve learned the statement that God does take care of the Lilies of the Field and the birds of the air. And then the only other thing I would strongly recommend is two of the most powerful forces in the universe are love and forgiveness. We start every morning with a brand new sunrise. Every 24 hours are given to us. There is no human that made the stars or the moon or the world or the Sun. It was a gift everything, meant to be enjoyed in a family relationship with the Creator who desires to be father of all willing to come to him. But if anybody has deeply hurt you or done you wrong, write their names down on a piece of paper if it still hurts when you take that 24-hour rest. And be intentional about that rest. If you can’t do it right away cuz it’s hard to break through then start with four or five hours and work your way up. Your only job that day is making sure you and the kids eat and that you guys sleep. And that you have fun and enjoy life that day, even if it’s coloring with a crayon, going to a free museum. Just enjoy life one day a week because that’s what you were created for. And then whatever day you choose it doesn’t matter, the next day and the next 6 days tackle the insanity. And when you feel stressed out to the best of your ability don’t go for something that costs too much money or that’s going to hurt you or the kids down the road, but find ways to de-stress that are healthy. Dance on the bed if you have to. Though just warning you one lady who gave me that advice the bed broke when she and her son did it but she said it was worth it. But enjoy forcefully and don’t be afraid. Also don’t be afraid of using whatever government help is out there if that’s within your financial bracket. Don’t be afraid of downsizing and selling things that are not needed for life. Don’t be afraid of telling the kids we’re going to play poor for a little while just so that we can get in the mix with others and then when we come out, we can help bring others out. It’s a good plan. Anyway saying a prayer for you right now. And it may be another business is the answer but I think sometimes less is more. Just whatever you do don’t ever forget that you are a treasure. And nothing you can do can add to that. And nothing you can do can take away from that. It is simply Who You Are. God’s peace
