Since I was a child I thought I would see something in our country. Something that I don’t want to see. I pray I’m wrong but I don’t think so. People need to seek God. Humans are the strangest creatures. We breathe air that we did not create. We tell the soil that we did not form. Hopefully we enjoy the creation, the beauty all around us, that also was not formed by our hands. We did not give birth to ourselves and it takes at least 18, though I sort of kind of go with the 30 Year’s route I think it’s more realistic, to fully develop a human to where they are ready to walk through this life and be self-sustaining, though not without the help of others. We didn’t give birth to ourselves, we did not change our own diapers. We are hugely needy and yet somehow we think we’re the ones that have all the answers?
We are strange creatures. I love how Jesus said that the Kingdom of Heaven is to the one that comes like a little child. Some of the richest people I have meant are the Down Syndrome who have peace and joy even in the midst of what worries everybody else. In a little child, and yes there are traumas and yes there are horrible things in this world, but little children are very dependent. The only difference between them and adults, is that they understand and know it.
