AI Impact

Yet another Facebook response that was too long for Facebook to handle.πŸ˜³πŸ™„πŸ˜œ

Sorry. I’m working on it if anybody wants to become my personal editor on a volunteer basis PM me.πŸ˜† LOL it just dawned on me, no I’m not using AI.πŸ€·β€β™€οΈπŸ˜Š

I think there’s a balance. I think it’s good when people take a strong stand against things but not everybody’s going to do that and I don’t think one is wrong necessarily or the other is right, I don’t know.

My biggest concern starting with the age of manufacturing has been how we have wiped out meaningful work from a large portion of society. It is incredibly destructive but we don’t want to admit it. Starting with the age of manufacturing a group that called themselves the Luddites in England had a violent protest which I don’t agree with the violence, but they were artisans and artists that have been trained for centuries in their work and realized that in one generation and entire genre of work was being wiped out. Unfortunately we have a tendency, and it’s complicated, this is human nature, I can look at probably hundreds of areas I fall short of my own belief system just because of the way humans are and the way culture is right now, but we tend to do what we need for our time for our moment and our Circle without thinking about how it’s going to impact future Generations or the global community.

As a Christian I think a lot of times we humans, most certainly Christians included! Tend toward greed which has a few different categories one is fear of the future, so basically stocking up, take care of me don’t worry about anybody else just make sure me and my family are cared for because that’s what I’m supposed to do, and it’s a fine line because there’s a balance. Certainly we are to take care of ourselves and our family. But when I look at for example the Amish and Mennonite communities, yeah they have a lot of things that are a lot harder for them.

They made choices to step away from a lot of cultural change, some of the Amish do not do, actually I think most of the Amish don’t even do electricity, and I can’t imagine how beautiful that must be for those with over stimulus like I have had my entire life where the sound of Lights causes pain, the old fashioned TVs that thin noise that would just be on when it was on would hurt me and keep me from sleeping. But it doesn’t impact a lot of society just those who are weaker so we just keep building.

And I find a flaw in that. I have a lot of health issues but bless God I can talk LOL all day long if you want me to. I was really good as a switchboard operator. I’m happy to tell you that that job is no longer needed because of computers and shy of my husband taking care of me I would be on welfare because I can’t get a job that fits the way I was built.

So my biggest concern is I sort of view AI like a nuclear bomb, sure we can do all sorts of good stuff with nuclear energy, but if we haven’t been able to be balanced in the manufacturing age or with computers or with cell phones and we have children shooting people in schools depression and suicide I think at some point we just have to look at ourselves and go what are we doing this is crazy and simply stop. Do I still drink starbucks? Yes yes I do but a lot less and I look for privately owned coffee shops. And it’s not like everything’s all bad. The global economy is created over what we demand. But from my perception we have created an unsustainable Society starting about 150 years ago and at the pace we are going it won’t be long before 10% of the population is going to have to care for 90%. But there’s a more seriousness to not having meaningful work.

The way the internet and TV and video games strips the natural ability to create dopamine, I would love to see some sort of a pole to see who actually goes outside and enjoys seeing the birds and the butterflies even if they are pigeons and finding Delight in them. Because what the electronic does is it demands our Delight be found only in it and it strips to Delight from making bread or doing the simple things of blowing a trumpet or using our bodies and our muscles to play a piano. The whole system is incredibly unhealthy.

We have a lot of knowledge but in my opinion we do not have a lot of wisdom. So it is true we are in this moment in time. I draw the line at AI however I do allow Google docs to correct for me though I’ve started just leaving my errors in just because I’m a fighter and I’m sick of the whole perfectionist mentality and that’s a whole nother issue of AI hey let’s all be beautiful cookie cutter perfect people without any flaws that definitely is going to possibly impact Society.. okay and now I need to stop cuz now I’m getting sarcastic and I don’t believe in sarcasm!

I see a lot of Destruction, however in this moment in time yes you need to provide for your family you need to provide for yourself you need to eat but be aware we are continuing to strip meaningful work away from society so how does your using AI impact your children and children’s children and the global community? If you use AI it is your fix right now, but it will be very difficult for you to transition back. How much time and energy is wasted because instead of hiring humans in the United States to answer phones we hire flawed computers and we waste so much time going through ridiculous circles trying to get answers to a question that with a human would have taken 10 minutes 50 years ago. The waste in the name of progression hurts my brain. So what are we creating for the Next Generation? Again as a Christian for me there’s a more serious aspect to the way I live my life, far more serious. I believe the Bible. I believe that I will stand before Jesus Christ and give an account for how I have lived down here and for every careless word I’ve spoken. I believe the Bible when it says there is going to be a day of judgment where God is going to judge every human and all of the Nations.

I will not lie I have told God more times than I can count I am seriously not looking forward to that day. I believe the Eternal damnation which was the just punishment separation from a holy God forever after death, because even the tiniest sin cannot enter the throne room of God, not the tiniest lie or the tiniest greed or the tiniest or immorality or blasphemy, thank God he doesn’t change because if he did we wouldn’t still be here dread or we wouldn’t be here at all, but he doesn’t say sure a little bit of murder is okay if you feel like it. He’s going to judge the entire world according to his standard of Justice. Thank God his standard of Justice includes a boatload of Mercy. In my opinion Christians are some of the biggest proof of that.. and how he puts up with us some days I don’t know, but God is love. But there’s going to be a conversation.

And I really think that the world around us when we stand before God in the day of judgment with the different nations are going to be what in Heaven’s name were you guys thinking? That’s just what I think because we waste trillions of dollars because of our lack of balance and self-control and there’s way more to it than that it’s really hard for humans to do something contrary to culture. You basically have to die to yourself to say no to your own brain and what everybody around you says and if you don’t think it’s hard to do what’s right then everybody just go the speed limit, stop drinking Starbucks and give that money to the poor.

No problem. But we don’t do what is right, we do it feels good in the moments and what is the easiest and unfortunately sometimes that has really really big consequences. 10,000 homeless in the greater Denver area where I live is not going to go away if AI keeps knocking out meaningful work. Computers in the home have taken away from joy in the home, joy in relationships. We understand balance for example with alcohol, but we don’t understand it with a whole lot of other things.

And that is what this generation needs to conquer, the imbalance the lack of ability to say no to what looks good but is not good, because you can have a few drinks with some friends and the drinks is a blessing because you’re sharing it with friends. But when you have the alcohol become the all in all and eventually you lose your friends and everything else because the alcohol is the priority, it’s upside down and it causes destruction not only for the individual but it hurts those who love that individual that wanted to be part of the enjoyment of their lives. That is what the imbalance destroys.

The joy that we should find in everyday life. How do we put a stop to it? God only knows but I pray that every individual is careful and uses wisdom and how we use our time energy money and resources. Can we use AI? It makes me want to throw up that’s just my honest opinion, but I’m one of those High creative artist personalities that’s all one way or another and I’m not a balanced personality. That’s just the honest truth, can there be a balanced use of AI? Yes probably? Can we achieve it? We will see.

But the simple fact that I can’t even just go finish a Facebook Marketplace rating without stopping on Facebook to talk for 20 minutes about AI, doesn’t give me personally any encouragement that I can use my time wisely without some external help. Of course you know there’s an app for that…🀒😳😜
