This was in response to a post on Facebook as the questions come up about the difference between men and women and gender and masculinity and femininity. The Bible doesn’t use the words masculinity and femininity. Those are Creations we have added.
The Bible does not command men to be masculine or women to be feminine. That was not the problem. The issue is the difference between the call of God upon man and the call of God upon woman and the gift after the fall given to Eve, such a powerful gift! The power to submit to Godly male Authority and so to combat the Antichrist Spirit the spirit of lawlessness that focuses on human Pride and does not want to be humble or to be helpmate.

I found it’s very difficult when Humanity creates so many threads to add to or take away from the word of God. We have words with definitions that are not in God’s word, expectations that are not in God’s word. Nowhere does the Bible say men have to be masculine. I’m not quite sure where that concept comes from and then it gets goofy because people have different definitions of it, we create things that aren’t there. Certainly King David was a warrior and a man of God, from the Bible calls a man after God’s Own Heart and I suppose in our definition of masculinity we would think of David, but his son King Solomon was also a Godly Man even though he certainly screwed up at the end but his father screwed up as well, welcome to humanity, but King Solomon I don’t think was what you would call masculine. He was a learned person. A person who wrote Proverbs and studied many books and was a scholar and a person of Education. I don’t know if you would call Daniel masculine. Certainly he went into the lion’s den but it doesn’t say he conquered them like Samson did, he just simply figured that if God wanted him still alive he would be the next day. But he was a businessman. The Bible doesn’t say men have to be masculine we make that up. I’m not saying there’s not fundamental differences between men and women, they are most certainly there. Last I checked men can’t have babies. And I personally firmly firmly believe in the gift God gave men at the fall, male Authority which is completely either misunderstood or completely denied within the church today except within a few circles which is heartbreaking. God gave Eve the most powerful precious gift when he created a helpmate for Adam. But at the fall something happened because God knew that Pride was going to be a huge danger for Adam as well as for Eve. And so he gave Eve the most powerful gift, allowing Adam the male Authority and telling Eve her desire would be for her husband and he would rule over her. Genesis 3:16 This was not a curse. The Bible doesn’t say it was a curse. God in his grace and mercy created within the very family unit of husband and wife the power to combat the Antichrist spirit and women were given such a powerful gift. The power of Godly submission. The power to combat Pride and to show the world in a very real sense what love looks like. Now of course the devil’s going to try to twist it to one side or the other with millions of little threads. Adam also had submission to God, which we see fully in the New Testament explained what a Godly husband looks like. He looks like Jesus Christ. He’s willing to lay down his life for the wife. In that protection was so incredible I hope I can do a blog or maybe even a book at some point because it’s almost been completely stripped from this generation of Western Christians so thankfully many in the Eastern world still understand and comprehend it. But it was never meant to be some form of superiority on either side, the moment you have superiority you have pride. Pride is an Abomination according to Proverbs 6 Before the Throne of God. God despises and completely abhores pride and lies. And he gave Eve such a beautiful gift, to show the world what humility looks like. We see it in Jesus. See when there’s the love of God there’s no thought of harming the other or looking down on the other. The Bible says that knowledge puffs up but love builds up. And yet sadly in this generation many even within the body of Jesus Christ do not understand Grace or grasp the love of God. It’s heartbreaking to hear the story of this woman and there are so many threads that were not needed in her life or in the life of the men and women that she engaged with and The Emptiness is heartbreaking. My life has not been easy. I served as a physical slave for 10 years, literally. I’ve faced death more times than I can count. I have chronic illness because of trauma. But I can tell you that the one who puts the stars in the sky and knows them by name, his love is beyond comprehension. And there is a beautiful plan for mankind. Originally Adam was one and then Eve was taken from him which is why in the original writing the word man is used for what we would Define Mankind. Man was one whole and then Eve was brought out of Adam. And we see in the relationship with husband and wife how they become physically one again and then the most amazing miracle in creation takes place when God Wills and when the couple Wills and then there is a new human life. Someone who will live forever. And so we pray that all might come to know the Living God. Feminism is not a term in the Bible. Women certainly lacked no intelligence. And you might have one woman that is physically stronger than one particular man and that really doesn’t matter that’s neither here nor there. And when did the word help me, as Eve was created to be a blessing to Adam and help me to him when and to what did we listen to, when we women suddenly thought that was a negative? Sounds like the snake was at work again. When did the janitor become less than the CEO of the hospital because I can promise you they are equally important. You go two weeks without the hospital bathrooms or any of the rooms being cleaned. See the position of helpmate was incredibly important for Adam’s well-being, but the reason she was created was that Adam not be alone. That he have somebody to enjoy the beautiful creation God had given with him. We were created for enjoyment. And she was not in any way inferior to him, but Authority when it is done in the right way in a Godly fashion is an amazingly beautiful thing because it shows the authority that God has over us. We didn’t create God. I find the conversations strange in society today with women’s rights. It’s my body. What makes it my body? When I create a piece of art it is my art because I created it. Or as a music writer if I write a piece of music it is my music because I have written it. But I have not written myself neither have I created myself and I haven’t even given birth to myself, how then can I say it’s my body? These are the things that confuse me and make no sense to me in the modern generation. How can I belong only to myself when so many have poured into me? Not just parents and family, but loving friends and certainly teachers and educators, how then can I be my own? I am not I am my beloved’s and he is mine and His Banner Over Me is love. And this is true of my Father in heaven and my spiritual Lord my Lord Jesus Christ and the love of my life as well as it is my beloved who I am grateful as my Spiritual Authority in this earth, my husband who loves and fears God and no he’s not perfect LOL neither am I. Oh but what beauty there is in Godly Authority. And it was at the beginning of the stripping away of male Authority which has absolutely nothing to do with masculinity, that we started the path down the gender issues and have brought ourselves to the place we are today. God didn’t give men a womb. Did you know the first lie and Temptation in the Bible was that of discontentment? And we fall into it so often today. But the lies that were at the Garden of Eden were just two lies but they are repeated over and over again, taking away from the word of God and adding to it. God hasn’t given you enough women. There’s more there. That’s the first lie. Then the second lie as well if you don’t listen to God you’re not really going to die. God didn’t mean die., yes he sort of kind of did as we have all found out because there has been death ever since. But the beautiful thing about God and his powerful word, as difficult as it is at times to read the many dark things in the Bible is that it’s all true. And because it’s all true, we know that those beautiful things are all true as well. There will be a day when the wolf will lay down with the lamb and the lion will eat grass like the ox and there will be no harm in all God’s Holy Hill. It’s all true. But the greatest truth is his love it’s amazing. And we fall short of the glory of God. We women often do not understand the gift we were given in the garden and the power given to us, the understanding which Esther knew and held. The understanding that zipporah the wife of Moses understood as she stood before the angel of death in the wisdom and power God gave her and saved the life of the man of God her beloved husband. And when Moses’s sister and brother decided he shouldn’t be married to his beautiful wife zipporah, God himself intervened and the fear of God was made known. There’s so much Beauty in God’s truth and Grace and this world is starving for it. So let’s not add to the word of God or take away from it please. Yes men can be masculine but they don’t have to. And yes women can be feminine but they don’t have to those are not commands of God. But it is not possible for men to give birth to a child and it is not wisdom for women to take away from the gift of authority given to men. If there is a man in the room and we are having prayer, defer to the man and ask him to pray. How many women would just cringe at that? Well he’s no better than me! Nobody said he was, we are honoring him because he is male. And because that was the gift given, and it is only our own arrogance and pride that cannot be humble and submit to Godly male Authority. This has absolutely nothing to do with abuse. There is no room for abuse in the love of Jesus Christ or in the love of God. Men should not abuse women and women should not abuse men, not emotionally physically or spiritually. Those things are horrific and horrible. But there’s so many twisting, so very many lies. If I have opportunity I’ll try to blog on this. God’s peace. You are somebody whom the creator of the universe thought was worth living, suffering and dying for. And no I am not my own. I was bought with the blood of the Lamb of God. I belong to him. He is all together lovely.
